About Aprilia SR 160

Aprilia’s SR 160 comes in three variants – Standard, Race and Carbon. Prices for the new SR 160 hover around the Rs 1.33 lakh mark (ex-showroom). The 2022 Aprilia SR 160 comes with comprehensive upgrades including a redesigned front with a new headlamp and apron. It gets a new LED headlight replacing the halogen unit on the old model giving an upmarket look. The handlebar cowl has been redesigned as well. The scooter measures 1985 mm in length and 806 mm in width, with a 1365 mm long wheelbase. It gets a 6-litre fuel tank and rides on 14-inch alloy wheels.

In terms of features, the Aprilia SR 160 comes with a fully-digital instrument console which is shared with the Aprilia SXR 160. The cluster displays a number of details including speedometer, RPM, mileage, average speed, top speed, fuel indication, odometer and time, etc. It also gets an underseat storage capacity of 11-litres, a USB charger and a boot light.

The Aprilia SR 160 draws power from a 160 cc, air-cooled, three-valve engine. The motor develops 10.84 bhp at 7600 rpm and 11.6 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT. The scooter gets telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable single shock absorber at the rear. Braking performance comes from a 220 mm disc at the front with single channel ABS while the rear gets a 140 mm drum unit.
The new Aprilia SR 160 is available in five colours - White, Blue, Grey, Red and Matt Black colours. The scooter competes against the Yamaha Aerox 155, and to a certain extent, the Vespa 150.
