About Bajaj Platina 100

Bajaj Platina is a 100cc motorcycle manufactured by Bajaj Auto in the year 2006.

The Bajaj Platina 100 ES variants have been launched in 2021 to the Indian market. It is the modified version of the Kick Start or KS model that was launched in the previous year. Currently, there are three variants available - KS, ES Drum, and ES Disc. The two new colour options are Cocktail Wine Red and Ebony Black with silver accents.

The ES version comes with the Electric start mechanism, tubeless tyres, advanced braking and nitrox suspension, longer and comfortable seat, wide rubber footpads, LED DRLs, and alloy wheels. This two-seater commuter provides jerk-free rides even on bad roads with the advanced Comfortec technology - long front & rear suspension, with quilted long and soft seat with wider footpads.

The BS-VI compliant 102 cc, SOHC, air-cooled engine with 4-speed constant mesh gearbox produces 7.77 bhp @ 7500 rpm max power and a peak torque of 8.3 Nm @ 5500 rpm. The claimed mileage is between 75-90 kmpl and the top speed is 90 km/h.

The Bajaj Platina 100 ES is now available in a new avatar in the Indian market. This commuter motorcycle is the most affordable one in the market to get the electric start option as well. It has always been a popular and well-liked motorcycle model in the country.

How’s the design?

The Bajaj Platina 100 ES comes with the same design as before although there are new alloy wheels in white and these are quite similar to the Bajaj Platina 110 ABS model as well. The wheels also get tubeless tyres while there are upgraded rearview mirrors along with a blacked-out exhaust setup. This also comes with a heat shield in chrome and there is an LED daytime running lamp as well.

How’s the performance?

The Bajaj Platina 100 ES comes with a 102 cc engine (single cylinder) that also gets electronic injection. This makes 7.9 PS and 8.3 Nm of maximum power and torque at 7,500 RPM and 5,500 RPM respectively. There is also a four-speed gearbox for the engine as well.
