The Citroën Basalt X was launched in India on September 5, 2025, with prices starting at ?7.95 lakh and going up to ?12.90 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). This makes it one of the most affordable coupe-SUVs in its class, undercutting many rivals.

• The Basalt X carries forward the coupe-SUV silhouette of the standard Basalt.

• A new ‘X’ badge on the tailgate sets it apart.

• Inside, the cabin has been refreshed with:

  • A reworked dual-tone dashboard and textured accents

  • Redesigned AC vents with relocated hazard switch

  • Premium leatherette upholstery and a contrasting black-tan interior theme in higher trims

• The highlight of the Basalt X is the introduction of CARA, Citroën’s new in-car voice assistant (exclusive to Max AT). It manages media, SOS, reminders, vehicle updates, and more.

• Max trim features include:

• 1.2-litre turbo-petrol: 108–110 bhp, 190 Nm (manual), 205 Nm (automatic), paired with 6-speed MT/AT options
