Concept cars don´t always make it to the roads. They are really a precursor to a prototype which is still road legal. Concept cars are usually a designer or a manufacturer´s idea of what that car should look like. Although they come laden with features, they are often futuristic and not always road legal. But carmakers put them on display at auto shows to guage how public perception and also engage with prospective customers. Only some of these cars make it to production, many never go beyond the concept car stage due to scalability issues and some are a glimpse into what the car maker might offer in the future.
