The Jeep Renegade was introduced globally in 2014 and is quite a popular SUV for the manufacturer. The entry-level offering has served for a good two years now and is due for an update next year. Jeep already started testing the 2018 Renegade a few weeks back and while those images left us wanting for more, the new spy shots leave little to imagination. The latest images emerged online reveal the updated front on the Renegade facelift, giving glimpse of what to expect from model. The Renegade is already being considered for India and will be positioned below the Compass.

At the outset, the 2018 Jeep Renegade facelift gets subtle but prominent changes for the new year. The compact SUV sports tweaked LED headlamps, which seems to take inspiration from the 2019 Wrangler and could get the same circular LED DRLs as well. The bumper has been revised for a beefier appeal coupled with the faux skid plate while the fog lamps have been repositioned towards the centre. The plastic cladding too is now matte grey in finish as opposed to the black one seen on the current version.
Inside, the spy image reveals a massive 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Going by the norm, expect to see Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with MirrorLink. The image reveals little about any other changes, but do expect to see new upholstery options and subtle changes to the cabin.

Engine options will remain the same on the 2018 Jeep Renegade facelift. Internationally, the mini SUV comes with a handful options ranging from the 1.4-litre to the 2.0-litre petrol, while there is also the 2.0-litre diesel available. Transmission options include a manual and automatic, while All-Wheel Drive is available as optional.
The interesting bit, however, is that Jeep is considering the Renegade for India as per reports and the model could make it to the country sometime next year. The India-spec model will be the 2018 Renegade facelift, while engine options are likely to be the 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre diesel, shared with the Compass. Jeep will be locally assembling the Renegade to keep costs in check as the model locks horns with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and the likes. The Jeep Renegade facelift will make its global debut sometime next year, while the India launch can be expected towards the end of 2018.
