We had earlier reported that Aston Martin is working on a replacement for the Vanquish S, with the revival of the DBS nameplate. Taking the mantle forward is the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and it is expected to come in the second half of this year. How do we know this? Well, the British carmaker at a private event, gave a fair amount of glimpse of the soon to be launched Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. Moreover, the company has also teased the DBS Superleggera on its social media platform suggesting that the launch is eminent, even closer than our predictions.

As we had mentioned in our previous report, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera will share its design elements with the Aston Martin DB11, as the front fascia and sides is very similar to the roadster. Moreover, the front part of the DBS Superleggera gets the massive blacked out grille and the gloss carbon fiber splitter, just below it. You will also notice that it flows seamlessly across the front end and connects to a pair of large air intakes on either side of the bumper. We also like the new bespoke hood and the new set of headlamps. In profile, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera comes fitted with extended sills, while the air extractors behind each front wheel arch gives it an aggressive stance. Moreover, the wing mirrors come painted in gloss black to contrast the matte finish.
Under the hood, the DBS Superleggera will most likely get the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine will churn out max power 700 bhp, which is much more from the DB11 AMR with 635 bhp. We will get more details of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera as it closes in on its launch date.
