Earlier this week, Lexus partially teased the front grille of the new generation ES sedan, which will make it public debut at the Beijing Motor Show on April 25. Now, the company has further revealed the entire front grille of the ES, as the new image reveals further resemblance between the ES sedan and Lexus' flagship sedan, LS. While the company has not revealed much about the new generation sedan, expect the refreshed Lexus ES to come with major cosmetic changes while running on the same powertrain. Lexus will first launch the ES sedan in China and consequently bring it to Europe in the next few months. India, too, will most likely get the ES sedan considering Lexus has plans to expand its portfolio here.

According to the folks at Lexus, the new generation ES sedan is far more appealing and good-looking than its predecessor. The Toyota's luxury arm says that the upcoming midsize sedan is "more than just a pretty face" and will "transform the concept of comfort for luxury consumers all over the world." To replace the outgoing GS sedan in China, the refreshed ES is a completely new model and is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. Expect the ES sedan to be lighter and a better package than its older self.
Exterior changes to the 2019 Lexus ES sedan include revised headlamps, new styling for LED DRLs, while the trademark 'spindle grille' is nipped slightly to appear larger than the current model and also gets vertical slats instead of horizontal ones. On the inside, expect new materials, new upholstery and also a revised infotainment system. Lexus also promises to deliver the latest technological gizmos on offer.
Under the hood, the 2019 Lexus ES sedan will get the same 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired to an electric motor. This engine is capable of churning out max power of 202 bhp and 213 Nm of peak torque, while the 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine will churn out max power of 264 bhp.
