Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has expanded its premium motorcycle line-up with the launch of the 2021 Gold Wing Tour in the country. The 2021 Honda Gold Wing Tour is priced from Rs. 37.20 lakh for the manual transmission version, while the DCT with airbag version will set you back by Rs. 39.16 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India). Both versions have seen a hefty price hike of about Rs. 10 lakh over the older model. The tourer comes as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) from Japan and is the brand's most expensive model on sale in the country.

The 2021 Gold Wing range will be sold via select Honda BigWing Topline dealerships located in Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Indore, Kochi and Hyderabad. Customers can also book the tourer online. Deliveries will commence in July this year.

The 2021 Honda Gold Wing Tour gets a host of mechanical upgrades in a bid to meet the latest emission norms globally. The tourer draws power from the Euro5/BS6 compliant 1833 cc, in-line six-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is tuned for 124.7bhp at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm of peak torque at 4,500 rpm. The motor is paired with two transmission options - 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT.
The feature list is comprehensive on the 2021 Gold Wing Tour. It gets a new 7-inch TFT screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, gyrocompass navigation, upgraded audio and speaker system, Smart Key operation, electrically adjustable windscreen, all LED lighting, and more. Safety features include ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control, and Dual Combined Brake System, The DCT variant further adds Hill Start Assist, Idling Stop and an airbag too. The Gold Wing comes with four riding modes - Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain.

Other salient bits include new rearview mirrors with integrated indicators, a 21.1-litre fuel tank, luggage panniers. Suspension duties are handled by a double wishbone at the front and a pro-link system at the rear. Braking power comes from the twin 320 mm discs with six-piston calipers at the front and a single 316 mm disc at the rear with a three-piston caliper. The rider and pilion seats are separated on the Gold Wing for better comfort and the seats are contoured to be supportive and allow movement and better footing on the ground. The seats are covered in suede/synthetic leather and the pillion backrest can be adjusted from 16 degrees to 23 degrees.
