Land Rover India has announced the launch of the 2021 Range Rover Sport SVR priced from Rs. 2.19 crore (ex-showroom) onwards. The performance SUV brings the luxury of the RR Sport with that massive supercharged engine built by the automaker's Special Vehicle Operations division. It is the most powerful Land Rover ever produced and comes to India as a CBU from Coventry, UK. This is the British automaker's flagship offering to go on sale. The Range Rover Sport SVR gets the special badging along with other aesthetic changes for a distinctive look
Speaking on the launch, Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India said, "Range Rover SVR redefines & further elevates performance and luxury in an SUV by leveraging the best of bespoke British design and engineering. I am sure that Range Rover Sport SUV enthusiasts and fans will simply love this latest offering combining formidable British engineering craftsmanship with high end and refined luxury."
The 2021 Range Rover Sport SVR is powered by the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine that delivers 567 bhp and a whopping 700 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with the 8-speed torque convertor. Pair that engine with the Range Rover Sport's lightweight aluminium architecture and the performance SUV is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds. The top speed stands at 280 kmph. Land Rover says the RR Sport SVR get bespoke enhancements to the chassis for more dynamic handling without compromising on the all-terrain capability of the SUV.

Visually, the Range Rover Sport SVR gets upgrades to better differentiate the model over the standard version. This includes new and larger air intakes in the bumper for improved brake cooling. The brake pads and discs have been upgraded as well for better performance at higher temperatures. The SUV also gets body-coloured detailing at the rear and the SVR badge to further distinguish the performance offering.
In the cabin, the Range Rover Sport SVR gets the lightweight SVR Performance seats finished in high-quality perforated Windsor leather. The feature list is impressive and includes an 825 Watt 19-speaker Meridian surround sound system.
