Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the new 2021 Tigor EV and it comes with updated styling, new features and the company's new Ziptron EV powertrain technology. Tata has already revealed the updated version of the Tigor EV for the fleet segment, which has been renamed as X-Pres-T EV, while this model will be available for personal mobility. Yes! It is targeted towards private car buyers, and so retains the Tigor EV brand name. In terms of looks, it is based on the petrol powered Tata Tigor facelift.

Now the Tata Tigor EV isn't very different to look at compared to the Xpres-T EV. It features a new glossy black panel in place of the grille, revised headlights, and a blue slat underlining the entire setup. It also gets a new bumper with wider intakes and projector headlights along with new horizontal fog lamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). The car also gets new alloy wheels with more blue accents and revised taillights.

The Tata Tigio EV more blue accents have been used and there is a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
On the inside, more blue accents have been used and there is a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Harman tuned audio system, multi-functional steering wheel and premium upholstery on the seats. Tata Motors is also offering the iRA connected car tech along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of safety features, the car comes equipped with all the necessary safety bits like dual airbags, antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), rear parking sensors, optional rear parking camera and seat belt reminder among others.

Tata Motors had already confirmed that all-electric vehicles with Ziptron powertrain technology will come with a Lithium-Ion battery with IP-67 certification and an eight-years warranty. Also, all Ziptron powered EVs will come with a range of above 250 km on a single charge and so does the Tigor EV according to IDC. We will wait for the official figure from Tata Motors though as that hasn't been announced yet. It gets a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery along with a new Permanent Magnet Synchronous electric motor. The electric motor puts out 55 kW power output and 170 Nm of peak torque.
