French automaker Renault's budget brand for Europe, Dacia, has teased the 2022 Duster facelift for international markets. The 2022 Dacia Duster is currently in its second generation globally and is all set to get a mid-life cycle facelift soon. The model is expected to make its global debut on June 22, 2021, although the company is yet to officially announce the same. It will be one of the first cars from the brand to sport the new Dacia logo that was revealed earlier this week. Do note that the second generation Duster sold internationally is different from the India-spec model, which is the first-generation model.

With respect to the changes on the 2022 Dacia Duster facelift, the teaser video previews the revised taillights with the signature "Y" graphics. It will be in line with that seen on the newer Dacia Logan and Sandero models in the automaker's line-up. The new pattern is also likely to extend to the headlamps with the reworked headlamps integrating the Y-shaped LED DRLs.

Inside, the second-gen Duster facelift is rumoured to get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system shared with other Dacia models. This will come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with Bluetooth. You can also expect a few more tweaks to the cabin in the form of new upholstery, features and colour choices. Engine options are likely to continue from the current version. In Europe, the Duster is sold with the 1.3-litre turbo petrol with 148 bhp, 1.5-litre diesel with 113 bhp, and the 1.0-litre bi-fuel engine that develops 99 bhp. There are manual and automatic transmission choices on offer, as well as 4x4.

The third-gen Duster will be heavily inspired by the Dacia Bigster Concept
Renault and Dacia are also working on building the third-generation Duster that is currently under development. This version was expected to arrive in India after Renault decided to skip the second generation entirely. However, under the automaker's revised plans, the next-generation Duster doesn't seem to be a priority as far as Indian operations are concerned. Meanwhile, Renault India has locally developed some exciting projects that include the Triber MPV and the newly-launched Kiger, both of which operate in the sub Rs. 10 lakh space. The third-generation Renault Duster is due to arrive globally sometime in 2023. The model is expected to be heavily inspired by the Bigster concept.
