Hyundai is all set to unveil the 2022 Creta facelift in Indonesia today, and ahead of its official debut, images of the production SUV have leaked online. The car's design sketches already revealed that it will share its visual cues with Hyundai's bigger SUVs like the new Tucson and Santa Cruz SUVs sold in global markets, and these images confirm that speculation. While the basic silhouette of the SUV has been retailed the Creta facelift gets a new face with a new parametric grille, more muscular character lines, new LED headlamps and a new bumper with a wider airdam.

Engine details are unknown, but we expect it to get the1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, in both manual and automatic choices. In India, the SUV also gets a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol motor and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. They could also be on offer in Indonesia. Hyundai India launched the new-gen Creta last year, in 2020, so it will be a while before the SUV arrives in India. We do not expect anything before later 2022.
