India Kawasaki Motor has launched the 2022 Versys 1000 in the country and the litre-class sports tourer will be available in a single variant priced at Rs. 11.55 lakh (ex-showroom). The MY2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 will be offered in the Candy Lime Green paint scheme, while deliveries will begin from mid-November across the country. The bike does not get any substantial changes for the new model year and continues to come with the same engine and cycle parts. It does get a new care package to improve your ownership experience.

The 1043 cc in-line four-cylinder engine on the Versys 1000 produces 118 bhp and 102 Nm of peak torque
With no cosmetic changes, the 2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 continues to sport the same dual-LED headlamps, tall visor, massive fairing and long split seats to maximise comfort. The bike remains one of the most accessible litre-class offerings on sale in the country and is an apt mile muncher. Power comes from the same BS6 compliant 1043 cc in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that develops 118 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 102 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and gets an assist and slipper clutch. The bike uses 43 mm USD front forks with 150 mm of travel, while the rear gets a gas-charged monoshock with 152 mm of travel.
Other features include a semi-digital instrument cluster, an adjustable windscreen, cruise control, Kawasaki's cornering management function, Kawasaki's traction control system, and more. Braking performance comes from the dual 310 mm petal discs at the front and a single 250 mm petal disc at the rear along with ABS. The bike tips the scales at 255 kg with a touring-friendly 21-litre fuel tank.

The MY2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 is offered only in the Candy Lime Green paint scheme
With respect to the new K-Care package, the Versys 1000 owners benefit from an extended warranty and annual maintenance contract for four years. This can be transferred to a subsequent owner as well. Kawasaki India retails the K-Care package on its other offerings as well.
