The Mahindra Scorpio-N is the new generation version of the SUV and the recently released images already promise big changes. With more upmarket styling and premium interiors, the new Scorpio-N will be better in many ways. And now, a leaked document confirms that the model will be bigger than the current generation version. The new Scorpio-N's dimensions have been leaked via the owner's manual and the SUV measures 4,662 mm in length, 1,917 mm in width and 1,870 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2,750 mm. Compared to the current model, the SUV has grown by a healthy 206 mm in length and 97 mm in width, while the wheelbase has also increased by 70 mm over the Scorpio Classic.

This makes the Mahindra Scorpio-N longer than the new-generation Tata Safari, which measures 4,661 mm in length, 1,894 mm in width, 1,786 mm in height and has a 2,741 mm long wheelbase. Do note that while the Scorpio and Safari were once direct rivals but the latter moved up the price ladder in its latest avatar. At the same time, it's also built on a monocoque chassis as against the ladder-on-frame construction of the new Scorpio. It will be interesting to see how expensive the new Scorpio-N turns out to be.

That said, the SUV does promise a more comfortable cabin over the existing model, especially with better legroom and front-facing seats in the third row. The leaked image also gives a glimpse at some of the features that we can expect on the model including a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, twin-dial instrument cluster, and more. The SUV will also get features like ESP, traction control, hill descent control, cruise control, drowsiness recognition, and six airbags.

The new generation Mahindra Scorpio-N will be offered with the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine as well as the new 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol.
