The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift has gone on sale in India today and the company has already announced accepting over 3600 bookings for its premium MPV so far. The carmaker begun accepting pre-bookings for the new XL6 facelift on April 11 for a token amount of Rs. 11,000 and has been receiving around 325 bookings per day on an average. The new Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift has been launched in India in three variant- Zeta, Alpha and Alpha Plus with ex-showroom prices beginning from Rs. 11.29 lakh and going all the way up to Rs. 14.55 lakh.

In terms of looks, Maruti Suzuki has tried to make things fresh courtesy a new radiator grille with revised mesh and X-bar chrome strip running across its width. The front bumper too is more angular now and sports chunky silver skid plate. The LED headlamp cluster has been tweaked as well and while the overall profile remains unchanged, the new XL6 facelift gets a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels that fill the wheel wells more appropriately. It also gets a slightly tweaked taillights at the rear.

On the inside, the biggest is seen in the tech and creature comforts department. It gets the new 7.0-inch SmartPlay Pro Infotainment system with connected tech, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The touchscreen also supports the 360-degree camera view which is a new feature in the XL6 facelift. Other additions include new ventilated seats in the front row, wireless charging and remote engine start / stop system to pre-cool the car. In terms of safety features, four airbags, hill-hold assist and electronic stability program (ESP) will be standard on the new XL6 facelift.

Under the hood, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift gets an updated 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, K15C series, dual jet, dual VVT petrol engine coupled with Maruti's smart hybrid tech. The powertrain churns out 103 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 137 Nm of peak torquer at 4,400 rpm and is mated to a new six-speed torque converter with paddle shifters. The five-speed manual transmission remains standard on the new XL6. Claimed fuel economy for the manual transmission XL6 is 20.97 kmpl and 20.27 kmpl is for the automatic version.
