Renault India has launched the 2022 model year Kiger in our market with prices starting at Rs. 5.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Renault Kiger has received subtle cosmetic updates both on the inside and outside of the car, making it look slightly sportier. Speaking of the exterior first, customers will now have the option of a dual-tone body colour - Metal Mustard with Mystery Black roof in the top-end trim. The 2022 Renault Kiger Turbo also gets a new tailgate chrome garnish, front skid plate, "turbo" decals on the doors and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels with red wheel caps adding to its swanky looks.

On the inside, it gets new red fade dashboard accent and quilted embossed seat upholstery along with red stitching that further enhances the sense of sportiness inside the car. The features list too has been updated with a wireless smartphone charger and cruise control function. Other creature comforts like auto-climate control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, LED headlights and 360-degree camera view among others continue to be on offer. However, Renault is now offering the PM2.5 filter advanced Atmospheric Filter as a standard feature across the turbo range.

As far as safety features go, the 2022 Renault Kiger gets four airbags, seatbelts with pre-tensioner and load-limiter for driver, antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), rear parking sensors, impact sensing door unlock and ISOFIX child seat mounts among others. Renault continues to offer the Kiger with both 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged and naturally aspirated engine options. The 1.0-litre turbo motor belts out 99 bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque and is offered with either a five-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox. The NA engine puts out 72 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque and is offered either with a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT automatic unit.
