Skoda Auto has pulled the wraps off the 2022 Karoq facelift compact SUV. The refreshed model now comes with a more refined design language, new technology and more efficient engines from the EVO generation. This is the first update that the compact SUV has received since its launch in 2017. It continues to be a strong product for Skoda in the global markets. The company says it was the second most delivered Skoda model worldwide in 2020 and the first six months of 2021.

The 2022 Skoda Karoq Facelift now gets a wider, hexagonal Skoda grille with slimmer full-LED Matrix headlights
Skoda will offer the updated Karoq in three trims - Active, Ambition and Style, and there will also be a Sportline version. The facelifted Skoda Karoq now sports a wider signature-style hexagonal grille giving it a more rugged look. It also gets slimmer full-LED Matrix headlights with redesigned DRLs, which are now split in two, further accentuating the SUV's dynamic look. The SUV also gets new 19-inch Silver Sagitarius alloy wheels. At the rear, the SUV gets full LED tail lights with dynamic indicators, revamped rear bumper, an extended body-coloured spoiler, and more. It also retains the centrally mounted Skoda lettering, like all new Skoda cars.
In terms of dimensions, the Skoda Karoq measures 4,390 mm in length, 1,841 mm in width and height of 1,624 mm. The front-wheel-drive has a wheelbase of 2,638 mm, while the wheelbase of the all-wheel-drive version stands at 2,630 mm.

The 2022 Skoda Karoq Facelift gets an 8-inch digital instrument cluster as standard with an option to upgrade to a bigger 10.25-inch screen.
On the inside, the SUV remains very similar to the outgoing model with subtle updates giving it a refreshed look. It gets an optional Eco pack, enhanced LED ambient lighting, new decorative strips on the instrument panel and door trims and more. The front passenger seat can now also be adjusted electrically. There's also an 8-inch standard instrument cluster with an option to upgrade to a bigger 10.25-inch unit. It also gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is upgradable to a bigger 9.2-inch system, supporting Wireless SmartLink technology, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The system also sports Laura's digital voice assistant that is compatible with 15 languages.
The 2022 Skoda Karoq Facelift comes with a choice of 5 engines, including 3 petrol.
Under the hood, the Skoda Karoq comes with a range of petrol and diesel engine options. It includes 108 bhp 1.0-litre TSI EVO, 148 bhp 1.5-litre TSI EVO, 187bhp 2.0-Litre TSI EVO, 114 bhp 2.0-Litre TDI EVO and 148 bhp 2.0-Litre TDI EVO. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG. The company offers the 2.0-litre TSI engine with 187 bhp exclusively in the Sportline in combination with 7-speed DSG and all-wheel drive.
