The Aprilia SR150 is extremely popular amidst enthusiasts and is a strong seller for Piaggio India as well. Already available in three colour options, the 150 cc scooter is all set to receive a new olive green shade going by the latest images. The new shade was recently spotted at a dealership and is likely to be officially announced soon. The SR150 in the new green shade is available at the same price as the regular versions, and is priced at Rs. 68,160 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
With no changes to the design, the Aprilia SR150 new matte green is complemented by red and black graphics as well as the seat. The alloy wheels continue to remain black shod with 120-section tyres. Interestingly, the new colour scheme was previously spotted in November last year, along with a blue colour option and seems to be all set for deliveries.

Apart from the new shade, do not expect any other changes on the Aprilia SR150 for 2018. The scooter draws power from a 154.8 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor tuned to produce about 10 bhp at 6750 rpm and 11.4 Nm of peak torque at 5000 rpm. The motor comes paired to a CVT unit. The scooter uses telescopic forks at the front and a single rear hydraulic shock absorber. Braking performance comes from a 220 mm single disc at the front and a 140 mm drum brake setup at the rear.
At present, the Aprilia SR150 is offered in the matte black and gloss white colours, while there is also the Race Edition with the brand's colours and improved gearing for faster pick-up. Barring its own sibling the Vespa SXL, the SR150 does not have a direct rival yet. But two-wheeler makers are expected to flood this segment with options in the future.
