Ather Energy has inaugurated its new retail outlet in Surat, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer's second experience centre in Gujarat, and 25th in India. Ather Energy had launched its first experience centre in the state in Ahmedabad earlier this year. According to the company, Ather has witnessed a significant surge in demand from Gujarat, nearly 8-fold, since the launch of the Ahmedabad store. The expansion in Gujarat is driven by strong demand for the Ather 450 X and Ather 450 Plus electric scooters. The Ather 450X is priced at Rs. 1,26,926 (Ex-showroom) and the Ather 450 Plus at Rs. 1,07,916 (Ex-showroom), respectively in Surat.

The Ather Experience Centre in Surat is the brand's second retail store in Gujarat, and the country's 25th.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said, "The response from Gujarat has been phenomenal since the opening of our Ahmedabad experience centre in January. Consumers have evolved and are now aware of the benefits of going electric, and expect electric scooters to offer excellent riding and ownership experience. This has led to a significant demand for Ather's 450X and 450 Plus scooters, as they are currently India's best electric scooters on offer. To cater to growing consumer demand in Gujarat, we are planning to expand to more cities, as we continue to see more customers in the state shifting to electric scooters."

Along with the Ather Energy Experience Centre, the brand has also inaugurated two Ather Grid fast-charging centres in Surat, with plans of introducing 8-10 more such fast-charging points.
Ather Energy has also installed two fast-charging points, Ather Grid, in Surat. The company plans to install 8-10 more Ather Grid charging points to strengthen the charging network and make the transition to electric scooters stress-free and convenient for consumers. By the end of FY2022, Ather Energy aims to add 500 Ather Grid charging points across the country. The rapid charging network is available to all electric two-wheelers and electric four-wheelers and it is free of charge until the end of December 2021. The company also helps its customers in setting up home charging solutions in their apartments and buildings. Ather Energy is currently present in 21 cities with 25 retail stores. The company plans to expand to 100 cities with 150 Experience Centres by March 2023.
