Come June 2018 and Audi AG will officially reveal its flagship SUV - Q8, scheduled to go on sale globally later this year. The all-new Audi Q8 has been in the works for a while now and the concept version was first showcased at the Detroit last year. With the official reveal just weeks away on June 5 at , Audi has dropped a new teaser for the Q8 with a design sketch and it provides a good look at the rear of the luxury SUV. To be positioned above the Q7, the all-new Audi Q8 will be catapulting the Ingolstadt-based car maker in the super SUV league joining the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, Range Rover, as well as the recently revealed Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

The sketch released reveals a sharp and sleek rear profile on the 2018 Audi Q8. The roofline recedes at the rear, making for coupe-like styling, which meets the raked windscreen at the rear. The wide and muscular wheel arches provide a rugged appeal, while the simply styled bumper integrates reflectors and the trapezoidal twin exhausts. The full length taillight is increasingly becoming a favourite in the Volkswagen family, having seen it on the new Porsche Cayenne e-Hybrid as well, which we drove recently.

Previous spy shots have provided a good look at the upcoming Audi Q8. At the front, expect to see a massive trapezoidal grille flanked by sharp LED headlights. The overall design is identical to the Q7, but you do make out the Q8 will be commanding a more striking presence on road. Inside, the upcoming Audi Q8 will get all the bells and whistles including the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit display, while a massive touchscreen infotainment system will show up on the centre console replacing a host of traditional buttons and switches.

Engine options are expected be quite a few and will vary from a host of petrol and diesel units, including the optional 3.0-litre V6 petrol plug-in hybrid that also powers the new Porsche Cayenne e-Hybrid. Audi is also likely to introduce a performance variant of the Q8 later in the timeline and the 'S' or 'RS' badged model is expected to draw power from the 4.0-litre bi turbo V8 engine with 650 bhp. The motor already serves purpose on the Lamborghini Urus.
Ahead of the reveal on June 5, Audi will be teasing the all-new Q8 premium SUV via a five part video series. The series will start on May 21 and end on June 5, just before the model's official debut.
