BMW took the wraps off the all-new Z4. BMW has launched the Z4 at a price of Rs 68.9 lakh for the Z4 sDrive35i, while the sDrive35i Design Pure Traction version costs Rs 69.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Minor updates to the Z4 include redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheels, a new front grille and new headlamps. Over and above that, the Design Pure Traction features different interior trim options and an orange body colour which is exclusive to this variant.
Philipp von Sahr, president, BMW Group India, said, "The new BMW Z4 represents a time-honoured and yet alluringly contemporary interpretation of the traditional roadster concept. Armed with a raft of design and equipment innovations, the Z4 caters to one emotion that comes first: passion".
There are no mechanical changes from the previous Z4. Under the hood is the same 3.0-litre, twin-turbo direct-injection engine which churns out a hefty 302bhp. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. While the Z4 can go from a standstill to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds, its top speed is claimed to be 250km/h.
