BMW C Evolution e-Scooter Uses i3's Battery Pack
Yes, a second generation needs to have more changes, we agree and 'subtle' shouldn't be the term the scooter should be addressed with. But well, BMW Motorrad has saved the best for the last. The company has managed to upgrade the batteries of the scooter. The company has ditched the 60-Ah batteries which were on the previous gen and opted for new 94-Ah batteries. The e-scooter will be offered in two versions but both will carry the new 94-Ah batteries which have been sourced from the automotive division. Yes, these batteries are the same as the ones that power the BMW i3.

The entry-level version will provide 15bhp which will help the C evolution e-scooter to achieve a top speed of 120Km/h. In this specification, the zero-emissions scooter will be able to cover distances of up 100 km before running out of battery juice which is similar to what the previous generation had to offer.

But BMW Motorrad also brings in a range-topping model which it calls the 'Long Range'. Power will go up to 26bhp and that's 11 more than the previous gen. The upgraded battery pack helps it to reach an electronically-capped 129 Km/h which is more the previous gen. The upgraded battery will also give it a mileage of an estimated 160 km on a single charge. The standard equipment on the C evolution e-scooter includes LED lights, reverse assist, Torque Control Assist and more. Technology like the vehicle's efficient energy recuperation system, not dissimilar to BMW's EfficientDynamics, is also quite impressive.
