Bengaluru-based mobility company Bounce has announced that it will begin customer deliveries of its Infinity E1 electric scooter on April 18, 2022. The announcement was made by Bounce CEO and co-founder Vivekananda Hallekere on his Twitter handle. Starting as a rental mobility platform in Bengaluru, Bounce ventured into the electric mobility space after acquiring 22Motors and launched the Infinity E1 in December last year. The electric scooter stands out with its accessible price tag and battery swapping option.

The Bounce Infinity E1 is priced from Rs. 68,999 for the complete scooter, while customers opting for the 'battery as a service' option can acquire it for Rs. 45,099 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). Prices vary further depending on the state subsidies for e-scooters in your region. The latter allows customers to rent the battery separately and then keep swapping the same for as little as Rs. 35 per charge. In addition to retailing the scooter, the company has also been setting up battery swapping stations across the country. Bounce says its battery as a service option lowers the running cost on the scooter by about 40 per cent when compared to conventional offerings.

The Bounce Infinity E1's biggest strength is its price, and its battery as a service option.
Bounce began customer test rides on February 24, 2022, in Bengaluru, before expanding to other cities in March this year. The company has already announced it plans to invest about $100 million in manufacturing scooters and expanding the battery swapping infrastructure over the next year.
