Kane Avellano, 24, has officially become the youngest person to circumnavigate the world solo by motorcycle. Avellano took eight months to complete the 45,000 km trip across six continents and through more than 36 different countries on his Triumph Bonneville. As part of his journey, Avellano also raised funds for UNICEF, the world's leading charity organisation working for children. He completed the trip without any support vehicle and completed the trip earlier this year. Kane's name will appear in the latest version of the Guinness World Records but he has already received his Guinness World Record certificate.
Kane had to battle torrential monsoons in India, blistering heat in the deserts of Australia and powerful storms in South America. He took 233 days to complete the trip, completing it a day before his 24th birthday in January.
"The past eight months have been the most exciting in my life. I had the chance to discover what the world really has to offer, to meet many different people along the way and explore their cultures, religions and behaviours, while having an incredible time, " he said.

"This will be the first motorcycle circumnavigation to be verified by Guinness in 14 years and I'm really pleased it was done on my Triumph - it's a bike I've shared lots of memories with and was the perfect bike for the job, albeit not your conventional adventure bike."
He is now looking forward to his next adventure. Although he has yet to learn how to fly, he now intends to circumnavigate the globe by air, making him the first person to do so by both land and air.
