Hyundai Motor India has released its monthly sales numbers for November 2021, during which the company's domestic sales stood at 37,001 units. Compared to 48,800 units sold during the same month in 2020, Hyundai witnessed a decline of 24.2 per cent year-on-year. The Korean carmaker says that sales in November have been affected on account of the ongoing semiconductor shortage situation. At the same time, compared to 37,021 vehicles sold in October 2021, the month-on-month decline in sales was highly marginal.

In the official statement released by the company, Hyundai said, "The sales in November have been affected on account of the ongoing semiconductor shortage situation. Hyundai Motor India will continue to make all efforts to mitigate the situation."

In November 2021, Hyundai also exported 9,909 units from India, compared to 10,400 units exported during the same month, the company registered a YoY decline of 4.7 per cent. However, compared to October 2021, when Hyundai exported 6,535 units, the company saw a MoM growth of about 52 per cent.
Hyundai's cumulative sales for the month of November 2021 stood at 46,910 units, which is a decline of nearly 21 per cent compared to 59,200 units sold during the same month in 2020. However, compared to the 43,556 vehicles sold in October 2021, Hyundai witnessed a MoM growth of almost 8 per cent.
