The 34-year long run of the Maruti Gypsy ended in 2019. It was a popular army and police vehicle and was also loved by civilian drivers who craved a sense of adventure. Although the Maruti Gypsy offered only basic features and did not have airbags even in the second generation of the vehicle, it was a sturdy vehicle and functional for the forces. It could be modified, upgraded and was good for off-roading. The last recorded sale price of this Gypsy was 6.4 lakhs (INR).
You can either relate to this van as the vehicle that used to carry you or your children to school. This vehicle was mostly used for commercial purposes and at times as public transport as it was spacious enough to accommodate around 10 people.
