American automaker Chevrolet announced in a press release that it will continue to provide aftersales and service support to customers in India through a dedicated team. The automaker announced its exit from India in 2017 and five years later, it still is operating official service centres to help customers maintain their Chevrolet vehicles. The official support will be available over 2024 and beyond with respect to parts availability and aftersales services. The automaker also plans to expand its aftersales presence in India with ACDelco, a parts brand owned by parent General Motors. Under ACDelco the company will provide batteries, lube and other spares for all vehicle makes.

"At Chevrolet, the customer remains at the centre of everything we do, and we are committed to offering quality service for our vehicles in India," said Devang Parpani, Director, Commercial Operations India.
William Henrie, General Motors International Operations Aftersales Director, said, "It is immensely gratifying to see the team in India remain focused on our important aftersales customers as they continue to deliver on the needs of vibrant parts and service operation."
Chevrolet also iterated that Cruze owners get their car inspected free of charge as part of the Takata airbag recall campaign
A dedicated Chevrolet India team is responsible for overseeing a service network, training centre, and full-fledged warehousing and logistics operation, to make genuine parts available for customers. The company currently has a network of authorised service operations with over 170 touchpoints pan India. Customers can buy genuine parts including batteries, lubricants, and spares over the counter at the service centres.
Chevrolet also appealed to customers to get their vehicles inspected free of charge at its authorised service centres if they fall under any of the brand's open recall campaigns. During its innings in the country, cars like the Chevrolet Cruze fell under the Takata airbag safety recall. Customers can check if their car has been affected by the recall on the company's website.
