In addition to the all-new Triumph Tiger 800 range, Triumph also launched the all-new Tiger 1200 range at EICMA 2017. The line-up consists of the Tiger 1200 XC and the Tiger 1200 XR. Both variants will have sub-variants of their own. Triumph says that these are the most advanced Tiger models that the company has ever launched. The new Tiger 1200s are lighter by almost 10 kg and gets up to 100 changes over the previous-gen Tiger 1200 Explorer. The new Tiger 1200s save weight on the engine, chassis and the exhaust as well, resulting in better handling and agility.

The bodywork and the wheels are all-new and so are the colour schemes and the graphics. Additionally, the new Tiger 1200 also gets bunch of new features such as full-colour TFT instrumentation screen, keyless ignition, all-LED lighting, cornering lamps, backlit switchgear, clutch with shift assist and an updated cruise control as well. The Tiger 1200 XC models will also have a new riding mode called the off-road pro.

Some other features include hill-hold, six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) heated grips, 12V power sockets and so on. Coming to the engine, the new Tiger 1200s get a 1,215 cc three-cylinder engine which makes 139 bhp and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. We do believe that Triumph will bring in the new Tiger 1200 range to India by 2018.
