Prevail Electric Mobility, a subsidiary of French lubricants major FRVelion, is looking to establish itself as a strong player in the Indian electric vehicle segment. The company has launched three electric scooters, and deliveries of its products are expected to begin from September 2021. Along with electric scooters, the company is also working on a high-speed electric sports motorcycle, an additional manufacturing facility, as well as its now network of charging stations across the country.

After establishing its electric two-wheeler business in India and neighbouring countries, the company also has plans to introduce an electric passenger car, which will be manufactured in a new facility, Prevail Electric CEO Hemant Bhatt revealed to carandbike in an exclusive interaction. The new electric sedan will have a driving range of at least 300 km, and will also be supplied to neighbouring countries like Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka, where the company has already signed up partners. In fact, in Sri Lanka, Prevail Electric is setting up an assembly plant for its range of electric vehicles.

The Prevail Elite is the top-spec electric scooter from the company. Deliveries of the company's electric scooters will begin from mid-September, 2021.
"Among our future plans is to launch a new electric four-wheeler in the Indian market, as well as in neighbouring markets. We're already in talks with the Haryana government in the Hisar and Sirsa areas of the state. We'll be setting up the electric four-wheeler plant very soon where this new electric car will be developed. This electric car will be in the sedan segment, and will have a range of at least 300 km, and we intend to launch the new model in 2023," said Hemant Bhatt, CEO, Prevail Electric.
Currently, Prevail Electric has three electric scooters, but is already working on a high-speed electric motorcycle, which will have a claimed range of 350 km, and maximum speed of 180 kmph. Prevail Electric currently has its manufacturing facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The company intends to launch an additional manufacturing plant in Behrampur, near Gurugram, for production of its range of electric two-wheelers. The third plant, to be set up in Hisar, or Sirsa, will be used to manufacture electric cars.
