Haas's entry in F1 was made possible thanks to a special arrangement with the iconic Ferrari F1 team. It borrowed the same engine and gearbox while its chassis was made by another Italian legend Dallara. After the F1 budget cap was introduced, Haas opened a facility in Maranello as it wasn't being used by Ferrari and it even absorbed some of its staff like its former head of chassis Simone Resta who has become technical director. Ferrari also delivered a much-improved power unit which has enabled Kevin Magnussen to score points in 2 of the 3 races. But this has caught the ire of teams like Aston Martin, Mercedes, McLaren, and Alpine.
Haas went straight from last in the constructor's championship to fighting up against Mercedes which doesn't sit well with Toto Wolff as his team is of 2000 people while Haas just has 400 people. Many believe, that Ferrari concepts that have made the F1-75 the fastest car in the first three races of the season have flowed into the Haas despite regulations not allowing such parity.

Alpine, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Mercedes, the four teams that suddenly now find themselves battling the Ferrari customer team have asked the FIA to do more research on the similarities between the VF-22 and the F1-75. McLaren perhaps has the most extreme view on things as it wants all teams to have a wind tunnel of its own.
This is ironic as McLaren uses a Toyota wind tunnel, though is building a one of its own. Aston Martin also shares the Mercedes wind tunnel but is also developing its own wind tunnel, however, less capitalised teams like Haas wouldn't be able to do something like this. AlphaTauri which counts Red Bull as its parent is of the view that if every team is forced to have its own wind tunnel then F1 may become unsustainable for many small teams.
