Jehan Daruvala has been handed a 20-second post race time penalty dropping him down to P12 and out of points. FIA found that the Prema team mechanics had attempted to dry the grid spot of Jehan Daruvala as he had opted to start on dry tyres, and it was counted as a start procedure infringement, which according to the rules attracts a drive through penalty. But since this penalty was handed post race and hence was not served, it was converted to a 20-second time penalty by the stewards.

Race winner Richard Verschoor has also been disqualified from the classification, as Trident team was unable to provide the required amount of fuel sample post race completion. Verschoor stopped on the race track on the cool down lap presumably cause his car ran out of fuel, and the team reportedly could only extract 31.3 grams of fuel from the car, far less than the 0.8 kg mandatorily required quantity. Had Daruvala not received his penalty, he would've inherited the race win and P3 in the championship, and would've been just 3 points behind Pourchaire in P2.

After having won a race in Silverstone, Logan Sargeant inherited the feature race win having crossed the line in fourth position. Apart from Verschoor and Daruvala, Roberto Mehri - who crossed the line in P2 - also received a 5-second time penalty on the penultimate lap of the race for track limits violation. These penalties meant Sargeant, who was P14 after the first few laps having started the race on wet tyres, inherits the race win post a wonderful recovery drive. The additional points also mean that Sargeant is now P2 in the championship, having quite a turn around in the last 2 weekends. Enzo Fittipaldi has been subsequently promoted to second place, and Roberto Mehri picks up the final trophy despite his time penalty.
