Ferrari has confirmed that its new Purosangue SUV will debut in September 2022. The carmaker made the announcement during its Capital Markets Day as it revealed its business plan for the years to come. Ferrari had confirmed early last month that its new SUV would get its iconic V12 engine for the levels of performance and driving experience the unit offered. The carmaker had even dropped a teaser revealing that a new “thoroughbred” model was coming soon and it would feature the brand's V12. The name Purosangue translates to “thoroughbred” in English.

Ferrari had also shared a teaser for the Purosangue earlier in the year revealing some of the SUV's design. The teaser image provided a shadowed look at the SUV's front fascia. The image revealed that the SUV would feature a head-lamp design similar to the SF90 and F8 Tributo along with details such as a slim grille at the base of the bonnet and a prominent air-dam housing the prancing horse logo below.

Ferrari also revealed that it would be limiting deliveries of the Purosangue on a yearly basis likely in a bid to keep the model's exclusivity. The company said that the SUV would only constitue about 20 per cent of its overall yearly sales on average.
Ferrari says it will be pursuing electrification of its line-up in the current decade but won't be fazing out pure internal combustion models.
The carmaker also revealed its planned model road map till 2030 stating that it still planned to offer pure internal combustion engine cars till the end of the decade but to a smaller extent of its overall portfolio. The company said that it planned to have 60 per cent of its portfolio to be either electric or hybrid combined by 2025 with this number growing to 80 per cent by 2030 (40 per cent all-electric and 40 per cent hybrid).
The company also confirmed that its first EV would debut in 2025.
