In terms of design, the new Ford EcoSport looks all the same except for the new black treatment prominently seen in the front grille, black-out moulded headlamps, black fog lamp bezel, and black ORVM covers. The EcoSport also gets matching black alloy wheels, roof rails, and roof crossbars completing the 'Black Edition' look. The body colour options remain the same with no additional choices and like the regular EcoSport.

As for the inside of the new Ford EcoSport Black Edition, the cabin already comes with an all-black treatment which brings it more in line with its new exterior profile. Same is the case with the equipment as the SUV continues with the same features that include - automatic headlamps, signature light guide, daytime running lights, electro-chromic mirror, rain sensing wipers, push button start, 16-inch alloys and Ford's advanced in-car connectivity system - SYNC with AppLink.
There are no mechanical changes either as the Black Edition continues to offer the same three powertrains that comes in the standard EcoSport - 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission options, 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine as well as globally-acclaimed 1.0-limited EcoBoost engine. Transmission duties are taken care of by the same 5-speed manual gearbox and Fords tried and tested 6-speed dual-clutch transmission unit.
