Fuel prices in India have been hiked for the fourth consecutive day today, with petrol rates going up by up to 31 paise per litre, and diesel becoming dearer by up to 37 paise per litre. In the nation's capital Delhi, petrol prices have reached ₹ 103.54 per litre, while diesel is being retailed at ₹ 92.12 per litre today. In Mumbai, the price for a litre of petrol has touched ₹ 109.54, while diesel rates are nearing the ₹ 100 mark at 99.92 per litre. Having said that, in Mumbai's neighbouring city Thane, petrol is being retailed at ₹ 109.68 per litre, while diesel prices have reached ₹ 100.05 per litre.

As for other metro cities, in Kolkata, petrol is now being retailed at ₹ 104.23 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹ 95.23 per litre. At the same time, in Chennai, petrol prices have reached ₹ 101.01 per litre, while diesel rates stand at ₹ 96.60 per litre. On the other hand, in Bengaluru, the price of petrol has touched ₹ 107.14 per litre and the same for diesel stands at ₹ 97.77 per litre. In Hyderabad, petrol prices have reached ₹ 107.71 per litre, while diesel rates stand at ₹ 100.51 per litre.

As for some of the other regions, fuel prices continue to remain the most expensive in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar as customers now must pay ₹ 115.55 a litre for petrol and ₹ 106.10 a litre for diesel. Petrol rates in Anuppur have now reached ₹ 114.89 per litre while diesel retails at ₹ 103.78 per litre. At the same time, in Bhopal, vehicles owners will have to shell out ₹ 112.07 for a litre of petrol and ₹ 101.17 a litre for diesel. In Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, the petrol and diesel rates have soared to ₹ 114.49 a litre and ₹ 103.41 a litre, while the same in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra have touched ₹ 112.10 a litre and ₹ 100.85 a litre, respectively.
