Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked for the fifth consecutive day in India. Today, on October 24, 2021, petrol is being retailed at ₹ 107.59 per litre and diesel at ₹ 96.32 per litre in the nation's capital, Delhi. At the same time, in Kolkata, petrol prices have touched ₹ 108.11 per litre mark, while diesel rates have reached ₹ 99.43 per litre. Overall, compared to a day before, petrol prices have gone up by up to 37 paise per litre, while diesel has become dearer by up to 38 paise per litre.

In the nation's financial capital Mumbai, fuel prices have reached an all-time high of ₹ 113.46 for a litre of petrol, while consumers will need to pay ₹ 104.38 for a litre of diesel. As for other metro cities, in Chennai, today petrol is priced at ₹ 104.52 per litre, while diesel is being retailed at ₹ 100.59 per litre. On the other hand, in Bengaluru petrol prices have reached ₹ 111.34 per litre, while diesel rates have touched ₹ 102.23 per litre. At the same time, in Hyderabad, petrol is being retailed at ₹ 111.91 per litre, while diesel prices have reached 105.08 per litre, the highest among all metros.

Fuel prices continue to remain highest across India in the city of Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Consumers are paying ₹ 119.97 for a litre of petrol and ₹ 110.63 for a litre of diesel. Petrol prices in Bhopal have jumped to ₹ 116.26 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹ 105.64 a litre. In the Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh, petrol and diesel rates stood at ₹ 119.08 per litre and ₹ 108.25 per litre, respectively. Consumers in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra will have to shell out ₹ 116.41 and ₹ 105.61 for a litre of petrol and diesel, respectively. In Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, petrol and diesel rates stand at ₹ 118.68 and ₹ 107.88 per litre, respectively.
