We already gave you a lengthy description as to what the 650S is all about and we promised you that once McLaren would reveal the technical details of the car, the information will be conveyed to you all.
Finally, after a few days of wait, McLaren automotive released the technical data and confirmed the pricing of the supercar 650S. Slated between the P1 and the MP4 12 C, the 650S will make its global debut at the 84th International Geneva Motor Show.
As said earlier, the 650S will be powered by an an evolution of the 12C's 3.8-liter V8 engine that has been tuned to churn out 650 bhp. McLaren says that the 650S can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds and can power on to 200km/h in 8.4. McLaren claims a top speed of 333km/h and that is mind blowingly fast.
The figures do impress and the car also gives us a sense of a high level of luxury specification. It comes with equipment like carbon ceramic brakes, light weight alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres and many more really cool stuff.
Still not impressed? Well, McLaren claims the 650S is a second fastest to the Mclaren's F1 car which is 0.6 seconds faster over the standing quarter mile. Now you get the idea. The car is light and the 650S is a thoroughbred track car but McLaren says sophisticated enough to be driven on road. We'll take your word for it McLaren!
