Hennessey the legendary American car tuner has revealed its first electric car which will cost a whopping $3 million and will have six wheels powered by motors and will even have an interior of a private jet. Hennessy has been known for tuning American muscle cars like the Dodge Viper, Ford Raptor, and many other classics.
It has also been making its own supercars like the Venom GT which is based on the Lotus Exige. But this new electric car is part of its "Project Deep Space" which is still in its early stages. Hennessey has revealed the initial sketches of the car which do look quite mind-bending.
The electric car will have 6 wheels with motors
"I've been building some of the world's fastest accelerating vehicles for decades, yet they have always been performance-limited by the mechanical grip. Six-wheeled electric propulsion is the solution. The technology is unprecedented in this segment - both forward-thinking and innovative. Our design and engineering team is excited about embracing the future," said John Hennessey himself.
There are no figures on range or speed but the car will be almost 20 feet long and there is going to be space for a ginormous battery pack. Hennessey stresses upon a private jet-like experience so it will have seats laid out in a diamond configuration, allowing legroom for everyone. The seat in the back is going to be a captain seat with a zero-gravity position. The plan is to make 105 units starting in 2026.
