Following the launch of the Activa Premium Edition, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has now introduced a special edition of the Shine commuter motorcycle. The new Honda Shine Celebration Edition is priced from Rs 78,878 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The special edition motorcycle gets several cosmetic updates over the standard model though mechanically it stays unchanged.

The Shine Celebration Edition gets gold accents and graphics along with a matte grey-finished exhaust trim
The Shine Celebration Edition is available in two paint shades - Matte Steel Black Metallic and Matte Sangria Red Metallic – and gets detailing and trim inserts finished in gold. The graphics on the fuel tanks and down the sides are now finished in gold as are some of the trim elements such as at the base of the fly screen and on the side cover. The badging too is finished in gold while the exhaust is now finished in a matte grey. The Celebration Edition also comes with a brown seat to the standard Shine’s black.
Compared to the standard motorcycle, the Shine Celebration Edition is priced at a premium of about Rs 1,500. As with the standard motorcycle, the Celebration Edition is available in both disc and drum brake variants. The former gets a front disc brake while the latter uses drum brakes at both ends.
The Honda Shine is one of India's best-selling 125cc motorcycles going up against the Hero Glamour, TVS Radeon and the Honda SP 125 in the 125cc commuter segment. The Shine is also Honda's top-selling motorcycle in international markets. HMSI exports nearly its entire range of motorcycles manufactured in India to global markets with the company reporting that it had achieved the 30 lakh unit cumulative sales milestone earlier this year. The company had commenced exports from India in 2001 with the Activa scooter.
