The long-anticipated Hyundai Alcazar is all set to go on sale in India this week, on June 18, 2021. Essentially, it's the three-row version of the Creta, however, based on a recently leaked brochure we now know that the SUV comes with several segment-first features as well. Features that not only differentiates it from its 5-seater cousin but also make it a strong contender in the 3-row SUV space. While the leaked brochure already gave us the fuel efficiency figures, now some new information has surfaced online giving revealing the dimensions of the SUV.

Compared to the Creta, the Alcazar is longer by 200 mm, taller by 40 mm and it comes with a 150 mm longer wheelbase
In term of dimensions, the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar is claimed to measure 4500 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, 1675 mm in height, and it will get a wheelbase of 2760 mm. Compared to the Creta, the Alcazar is longer by 200 mm, taller by 40 mm and it comes with a 150 mm longer wheelbase. The width however is the same at 1790 mm.

The Hyundai Alcazar's petrol manual version returns 14.5 kmpl, while the automatic petrol model offers 14.2 kmpl
Now, in terms of powertrain, the Hyundai Alcazar will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 2.0-litre unit churning out 157 bhp and 191 Nm of torque, while the oil burner, on the other hand, is a 1.5-litre unit that makes 113 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both engines will be offered with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. However, with regards to fuel efficiency, the petrol manual version returns 14.5 kmpl, while the automatic petrol model offers 14.2 kmpl. The diesel manual, on the other hand, will offer a fuel efficiency of 20.4 kmpl, while the automatic version is claimed to return 18.1 kmpl.

The Hyundai Alcazar will be offered in 3 major trims - Prestige, Platinum, and Signature, and each come with an optional automatic version. So, based on engine and transmission choices, customers will have 12 different variants of the Alcazar to choose from. Add the 6- or 7-seater option to the mix, and the list increases to 14 variants. We expect the SUV to be priced between Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh.
