Like any sport division which wants the it's car to look different from the normal one, the i20N will come with a number of enhancements which are made to the exterior of the car. This includes new 17-inch alloy rims, a sports body kit with side skirts, front and rear bumper trim finishes and a rear boot spoiler.
To take things further, the N Performance division has also given it a stainless steel free-flow CAT back exhaust system and N-badges on the front mudguards and rear hatchback door. But yes, we know what you all are thinking and yes, we are getting to the engine.
Powering this go-faster i20 is a 1.4-litre petrol engine that is capable of 113bhp and a massive 160Nm of torque. The 6-speed auto-box sends power to the front wheels and of course there is a huge enhancement in terms of performance.
Since it has more power now the i20 N Sport also needed adjustments in the area of suspension setup. It now comes with a firmer suspension setup, so you get stiffer springs for that sporty ride. Braking power comes from a 4-wheel electronic 4-channel ABS with EBD system, using ventilated disc brakes on the front wheels and solid disc brakes at the back.
Tata Motors, Fiat and Volkswagen have a hot hatch in their department, so there is a market for go-faster hatchbacks in India. Of course, they haven't done too well, but Hyundai could try their luck here in India with the i20 N Sport
