Hyundai Motor recently announced the rolling out of the 5 millionth vehicle from its Alabama facility in the US. Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) leadership along with team members and special guests celebrated the 5 millionth vehicle built at Hyundai's US assembly plant. The milestone car rolled out from the plant was a Hyundai Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle that was built on July 27, 2021. HMMA has managed to achieve this landmark in less than 17 years, starting production in May 2005.

To reach this achievement, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) has manufactured over 25.62 lakh Sonatas, 14.89 lakh Elantras, over 9 lakh Santa Fes, around 37,000 Tucsons, and 1,784 Santa Cruzes. Additionally, HMMA recently completed a plant expansion to support the addition of its fourth and fifth models, the Tucson and Santa Cruz, that joins Sonata, Elantra and Santa Fe.
The 5 millionth vehicle was a Hyundai Santa Cruz Sport that was built on July 27, 2021.

The Hyundai Santa Cruz Sport is built on the same line as the Santa Fe, Tucson, Sonata, and Elantra at its Alabama facility
The 2022 Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle was launched in the US market earlier this year, in April. It was last month that Hyundai commenced production of the pickup truck at its manufacturing facility in Montgomery, Alabama. It is offered with a choice of powertrains - a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol. The former gets an 8-speed automatic transmission, whereas the latter is available with an 8-speed DCT.
