Lamborghini India has reportedly witnessed its highest-ever sales in 2021. According to a report in the Times of India, the Italian marque has surpassed the record yearly sales of 52 units, which was achieved during the 2019 calendar year. As of now, the total number of cars sold this year, between January and November 2021, have not been revealed. However, earlier this year, the company announced crossing the 300 units sales milestone in India. Out of those 300 units sold in India so far, more than 100 cars were sold just over the last two years, which certainly shows greater demand for Lamborghini cars, which is spearheaded by its most-affordable model the Urus super-luxury SUV.

Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India says after a tough 2020, the bounce-back for the brand had been faster in 2021 than what it had anticipated
However, this does not come as a surprise to us. Earlier in September 2021, Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India had said that the company was on track to achieve record sales in the 2021 calendar year. In fact, compared to the first half of 2019, Lamborghini has seen a growth of 20 per cent in H1 2021. Speaking to TOI, Agarwal said that after a tough 2020, the bounce-back for the brand had been faster in 2021 than what it had anticipated, despite the second wave. Lamborghini says that demand started improving from October last year, and currently it commands an average waiting period of seven months to one year, depending on the model.

Talking about the buyers in India, Agarwal said, "A lot of our buyers today are first-timers into the brand, and not from the traditional multi-generational business families. They want to reward themselves for hitting success early on."
Earlier in 2021, Lamborghini also launched the Huracan EVO RWD Spyder and the high-performance-focused Huracan STO in India
Lamborghini India currently offers 3 models in India - Urus, Huracan and Aventador, and prices for the cars begin around Rs. 4 crore (on-road). Earlier in 2021, Lamborghini also launched the Huracan EVO RWD Spyder and the high-performance-focused Huracan STO in India. The Urus, which is the most-affordable Lamborghini in India right now, is also the company's largest selling model and accounts for more than 100 units of the company's total sales in India so far.
