Jaguar Land Rover India has announced the commencement of deliveries for the 2023 Model Year Discovery Sport in India. The model year update goes on sale for Rs. 71.39 lakhs (Ex-Showroom), and both the petrol and diesel guises get the same price tag. The 2023 Model Year Discover Sport gets an increment on the features list and the most notable of this is the addition of Pivi Pro 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. This unit comes equipped with a host of features, including connected car tech, wireless software updates, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, and InControl smartphone app integration, which lets you use your smartphone as a remote control to access the SUV’s features. The Pivi Pro also introduces in-car artificial intelligence (AI), which is used for features such as self-learning navigation system. The car will recognise the driver by the smartphone or other device in their pocket and through ‘Smart Assistant’, the car will also review your schedule for the day and intelligently pre-set the navigation depending on traffic conditions to avoid congestion. It will also predict your next destination based on your schedule. The self-learning navigation will also learn your preferred routes, and temperatures for the air conditioner, and will also adjust that depending on the weather.

The Discovery Sport is available with either a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which produces 247 bhp and 365 Nm of torque or a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 296 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. The diesel unit also gets a 48V mild hybrid system, aiding fuel efficiency, The SUV is available only in the R-Dynamic SE variant. The Land Rover Discovery Sport gets a ClearSight interior rear view mirror.
The 3-row SUV also gets many other premium features, like a ClearSight interior rear view mirror, which can switch to a digital display of the rear view camera at the push of a button, a 12-speaker 400W Meridian sound system, and cabin air purification with a 2.5 filter. The SUV retains the off road abilities synonymous to the brand, and gets Terrain Response 2, which can automatically select the most suitable driving mode depending on the conditions. Additionally, the SUV also has water wading capability of upto 600mm. The Discovery Sport also gets 3D surround camera, which can come in handy while off-roading to see what’s happening immediately in front of the car.
