Mahindra and Mahindra has announced introductory prices of the automatic and 4WD variants of the ne2w Scorpio-N. Ex-showroom prices for the petrol automatic begin at Rs. 15.45 lakh for the Z4 trim going all the way up to Rs. 20.95 lakh for the range for the range-topping Z8 L petrol variant. Prices for the diesel automatic variants begin at Rs. 15.95 lakh for the Z4 trim, going all the way up to Rs. 21.45 lakh for the top-end Z8 L variant. The company is offering four-wheel-drive (4WD) option on the Z4, Z8 and Z8 L variants at a premium of Rs. 2.45 lakh. The introductory prices will be applicable on the 25,000 bookings of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N and the company will start accepting bookings on July 30.

The shift-on-fly 4WD system on the Mahindra Scorpio-N will be offered only on the diesel iteration.
Mahindra had launched the petrol manual variants of the new Scorpio-N last month itself and prices for the automatic and 4WD variants were due. Ex-showroom prices for the base Z2 petrol variant start at Rs. 11.99 lakh for the seven-seater variants while the six-seater variants with captain seats will be offered at a premium of Rs. 20,000 over the six-seater variants. The new Mahindra Scorpio will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options, while the shift-on-fly 4WD system will be offered only on the diesel iteration. The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, mStallion turbo petrol engine is tuned to belt out 200 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque (370 Nm in manual), while the Diesel engine in this variant is in a detuned state as compared to the higher variants. The 2.2-litre, four-cylinder mHawk diesel engine in the Z2 variant will put out 130 bhp, as opposed to 172 bhp in Z4 and higher variants.

The new Mahindra Scorpio-N has grown in proportiuons compared to its predecessor.
The new Mahindra Scorpio-N has grown in proportions over its predecessor being 206 mm longer and 97 mm wider, while it has a 70 mm longer wheelbase than the previous Scorpio. While the height of the scorpio has gone down by 138 mm, it still boasts a ground clearance of 187 mm. The design of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N has also evolved and is a huge departure being more smooth-edged. It looks more upmarket sporting the new slatted grille up front with chrome inserts, new twin-pod projector-lens LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, and new C-shaped LED daytime running lights. The rear sports new vertically-stacked LED taillights that do look premium and have evolved well over the predecessor.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N is loaded to the brim with latest creature comforts and tech.
Even the cabin of the new Scorpio-N is completely revamped and feels more premium. The dashboard looks classy and upmarket and there is plenty of tech wizardry going around as well. The cabin gets a dual-tone brown and black finish with brushed satin trims on the door handles and centre console. The top-of-the-line Mahindra Scorpio-N will come with a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit running the AdrenoX user interface equipped with connected car technology.
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N will be offered in both six and seven-seater configurations.
It will get features like driver drowsiness detection, a Sony 3D sound system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and push-button start/stop. It also gets a twin-pod instrument console with a larger MID unit in the centre. The SUV also has multiple driving modes, including tarmac, snow, mud and desert modes. Other features include an electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charger, multiple driving modes, roof-mounted speakers, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. On the safety front, the Scorpio-N comes with six airbags, antilock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) among others.
