Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that it will begin deliveries of the new XUV700 from the last week of October this year. The petrol versions of the Mahindra XUV700 will be delivered first to customers, while deliveries of the diesel version will begin towards the end of November 2021. The automaker witnessed an unprecedented demand for the all-new SUV with 50,000 bookings crossed in just a period of two days after opening order books on October 7, 2021. The manufacturer had already confirmed that petrol variants will be delivered first to customers.

Mahindra also says that the delivery dates will be arrived in partnership with "a reputed external consulting firm for an algorithm based process," which should ensure a fair delivery period for all customers who've booked the XUV700. It is interesting to note that the XUV500 that was launched in 2012 met with similar demand, overwhelming the automaker at the time. The company resorted to a lottery process to pick out customers in the initial weeks.
With 50,000 orders in its belly, the company has received bookings for over Rs. 10,000 crore worth of cars in terms of ex-showroom price value. In a recent tweet, Anish Shah, Managing Director and CEO - Mahindra Group, thanked customers for the demand. Anand Mahindra Chairman - Mahindra Group further assured customers of timely deliveries by saying "we respect the responsibility it puts on us."
The XUV700 comes loaded with features including AdrenoX user interface as well as Level 1 ADAS

The new Mahindra XUV700 is the brand's flagship offering. It gets a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine options, paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission choices. Prices were initially announced August 15, 2021, with the range starting at Rs. 11.99 lakh. However, those prices will be restricted to the first 25,000 customers only.
Prices on October 8, 2021, saw a hike by up to Rs. 50,000. The Mahindra XUV700 range now starts at Rs. 12.49 lakh, going up to Rs. 22.99 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). The company also added the new range-topping AX7 Luxury Diesel Pack with AWD owing to customer demand, soon after complete variants and prices were announced earlier this month.
