Maruti Suzuki Baleno has set a brisk pace in terms of sales with more than 9,000 units of the hatchback bought in November, 2015. The sales figures beat those of the Hyundai Elite i20, which managed a little more than 8,200 units last month.
This also puts the Maruti Suzuki Baleno in at sixth in the list of top 10 selling cars in November. The top 3 cars in the charts belong to Maruti Suzuki, with Alto ruling the roost. The Swift Dzire and the WagonR come in at second and third, respectively. The Honda City, in 10th position, props the list.

The Baleno has garnered quite a bit of attention ever since its launch in October, 2015 due to the fact that it is a superb value-for-money proposition. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is offered with a choice of 2 engine options - a 1.2-litre VVT petrol and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel. The petrol mill is a re-tuned version of the same motor that powers the Maruti Suzuki Swift and churns out 83bhp along with 115Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel unit develops 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. The petrol variant gets a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT, whereas the diesel engine comes mated to only the 5-speed manual gearbox. As for fuel economy figures, the petrol engine is certified to return 21.4Km/l, while the diesel is rated at 27.39Km/l.
The higher variants of the Baleno are packed to the gills with features like automatic AC, multi-information speedometer display, navigation system, reverse parking camera with sensors, push-button start, DRLs with LED, etc.
