While there was speculation running wild when the Nexa dealerships first came into the picture that the Ciaz will be the first car to be retailed from this dealership, it was the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross that actually ended up being the first. But now, there is evidence that the Ciaz will in fact shift to the Nexa dealership chain. Currently sold through the regular Maruti Suzuki dealership network, the company will soon start using the Nexa-like badging on the Ciaz. Ahead of the official dealer network changeover, the variant line-up of the Nexa-based Ciaz has been leaked.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been a top performer in the compact sedan segment and though the Honda City gave it a run for its money, the Ciaz managed to get back into the game by July 2016 and since then has remained undefeated. But with the launch of the 2017 Honda City, we expect a bit of a dent in sales of the Ciaz but Maruti Suzuki too is planning a facelift and we wait to find out when that's coming. In the meanwhile though, the company is actually making its first move to counter the City and that is providing its customers a luxurious.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will soon be retailed via Nexa dealerships
As seen in the image above, the Ciaz (once it shifts to the Nexa outlet) will be available in 5 trim levels. These will include the 4 regular Nexa variants - Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha and we also spotted a new S what might be a Sport variant. The S variant is likely to come with a body kit similar to that of the Ciaz RS variant which was launched in October 2015 and we expect it to get some additional features as well.

There will be no change as far as powertrains are concerned and the Ciaz will continue to be offered with the same 1.3 litre diesel and 1.4 litre petrol engine options. While both engines will come with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, the petrol model will also be available with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. All 5 trims will be available with the 5 speed manual transmission on both the petrol and diesel, but those opting for the Ciaz petrol automatic will get only 3 trims to choose from - Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Maruti Suzuki will officially announce this transition next week and we will know more then, so stay tuned!
