Maruti Suzuki introduced the BS6 avatar of the Ciaz sedan in the country last year in January. Offered as only a petrol variant, the prices for the Ciaz starts at Rs. 8.52 lakh to Rs. 11.50 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). The Indo-Japanese carmaker had also launched the Ciaz S, which is a sports variant of the compact sedan based on the top-spec Alpha trim. It is priced at Rs. 10.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The compact sedan was the 11th model to join Maruti Suzuki's BS6 brigade. Here are some of the key highlights of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

2. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes with LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and more. The Ciaz S comes with signature dual-tone sporty exteriors along with intense black accentuations on the side & rear underbody spoilers, trunk lid spoiler, ORVM cover and front fog lamp garnish. The dual-tone theme is further accentuated by multispoke 16-inch alloy wheels in a coordinated dark finish.
3. On the inside, the sedan gets a neatly designed cabin with a black and beige paint scheme and leather upholstery. However, the Ciaz S sports all-black interiors accentuating the overall sporty appeal in the cabin. It gets leather-wrapped 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, coloured MID, rear sunshade, rear AC vents, rear reading lamps and more.
4. In terms of features, the sedan comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen SmartPlay system with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. For added convenience and comfort, it gets push start-stop button, automatic climate control, cruise control, electrically adjustable ORMs, keyless entry, height-adjustable drive seat, 4-speakers and more. For safety, the sedan gets a reverse parking camera, reverse parking sensors, ESC with Hill Hold, speed alert system, seat belt reminder, anti-theft security system, and more.
5. As for mechanicals, it comes powered by a 1.5-litre, K15B Smart Hybrid petrol engine. It is tuned to produce 102 bhp at 6,000 rpm against 138 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The petrol mill comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard along with an optional 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The sedan is claimed to offer 20.65 kmpl and 20.04 kmpl of fuel efficiency on manual and automatic variants, respectively.
