Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will launch the AMG GT S in India on November 24. The German luxury carmaker that has already launched 13 new products in the India this year will finally bring in the celebrated 'spiritual' successor to the SLS AMG. The AMG GT is the 2nd sports car, after the SLS AMG, to be completely developed engineers at Mercedes-AMG. Interestingly, it will also be the 5th AMG product to be launched in India.
Built on the principle of 'Handcrafted by Racers', the AMG GT S is also serves as the Official Safety Car of the FIA Formula One World Championship. Powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, the GT S promises 510 horses along with a maximum torque of 650Nm. The car can despatch 0-100Km/h in 3.8 seconds on its way to a top-speed of 311Km/h.

While the Mercedes-AMG GT is equipped with a mechanical rear differential as standard, the GT S gets an electronically controlled differential that allows faster responses. The GT S is also fitted with AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with electronically controlled three stage damping. The driver can adjust the damping characteristics at the push of a button in the AMG DRIVE UNIT or by using the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport plus. The Mercedes-AMG GT S sports a high-performance composite brake system.
