The new 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has officially gone on sale in India today, and the model comes to our shores as a completely built unit or CBU car. The company's flagship sedan will be available in two options - the diesel-powered S 400d 4Matic and a petrol version called S 400 4Matic, which are priced at Rs. 2.17 crore and Rs. 2.19 crore (ex-showroom, India) respectively. In fact, out of the initial batch of 150 units allotted for India, almost half have already been booked. The new S-Class is smarter, more feature-packed and much safer compared to its predecessor, and here's all you need to know about the car.

Compared to the previous model, the new S-Class is longer by 34 mm at 5289 mm, wider by 51 mm at 2109 mm and taller by 12 mm at 1503 mm
